Extraordinary Events provides concept, graphic design, site selection, registration, catering, entertainment, decorations, lighting & stage design, celebrity speakers, transportation, audio visual, sponsorship sales, and public relations for clients on an as needed basis.

Corporate
 

Baltimore Truck Wash invested $4,000,000 to create a state of the art truck wash facility in Baltimore on I-95.

Challenge
Gather publicity, political leaders, and potential clients for a grand opening. A truck wash grand opening is not inherently newsworthy or exciting.

Extraordinary Idea

BTW was hiring ex -cons at 200% above minimum wage. We named the event “Second Chance” and focused attention on this visionary hiring practice. This was the vehicle we used to garner the media coverage, increase attendance, and bring political and corporate leaders to the event.

Results
Our event marketing PR initiative yielded live TV coverage, articles in Baltimore Sun, and Baltimore Examiner. MPT plans to feature the company next year in a documentary and BTW will be nominated by the Office of Economic Development for their visionary initiative. The event was presided over by Jay Brodie, President of Baltimore Development Corporation, and attended by members of the US Congress and Senate.
Non-Profit
 

Cal Ripken wanted to create an event to honor his father Cal Sr. and provide funding for his foundation that provides coaching and mentoring to inner city youth.

Challenge

EE needed to create an event concept that would engage corporate sponsors and produce an electrifying event. The goal was to net $300,000 on a first time event.

Extraordinary Idea
EE designed “Aspire”  an event for baseball legend Cal Ripken’s foundation. We partnered with TV, radio, and print media to create The Hardest Hitting CEO contest. This contest was the “extraordinary idea” that generated sponsorship sales.

Results
“Aspire” was a first time event and it netted more than $500,000 in revenue. Celebrity guests included Peyton Manning, Tim Russert, and Steve Case former President of Time Warner. The event is now an ongoing source of revenue and branding for the foundation

Hospice Caring had been hosting a fundraising gala for over five years in the Washington DC area.

Challenge

The event had only generated $10,000 and 100 guests. The Executive Director was considering canceling the event as it was taking a lot of time and producing minimal results. EE designed an event for Hospice Caring Midnight in the Garden of Good Deeds. Use hyper link sponsorship package already in my website under case studies

Results

The event got 300 participants and netted over $125,000 in profit. The theme, design and décor inspired the sponsors and guests to support this important non profit.
Media
 

The Biggest event for the Baltimore Business Journal each year is the Book of Lists.

 Challenge

The event needed to reflect a new image for BBJ and we needed to increase attendance and sponsorship

Extraordinary Idea
EE produced an event The Great Books that featured donated copies of New York film critic David Denby’s award winning novel. The BBJ has great writers and the event branded The Baltimore Business Journal as a great journal to read.

Results

The event was held at the newly renovated Hippodrome Theater and over 600 guests enjoyed a night that enhanced the profile and stature of BBJ.
